Cider Mill

Last Friday I took the kids to the Cider Mill with Savannah's girlscout troop. We took a hayride, learned how cider and cider donuts are made, and we got to enjoy some too. We also played in the pumpkins. Here are a few photos from that day. As you can see Thomas wasn't too cooperative with getting his picture taken. He kept turning his head or making really goofy faces. I love this one of Addy and Joseph.

Today I am packing, and packing, and more packing. We leave for North Carolina tomorrow evening after school conferences. Then we get back next Thursday and we are having Thomas' Birthday party on Friday. So, not only am I packing I am also cleaning, and getting things together for a Spiderman Birthday party. Well, I must get back to preparing for the trip. As you can imagine trying to get 6 of us ready to be gone for a week is exhausting.

Making a Cake

Monday was Allen's Birthday. The kids helped me bake a cake afterschool that day. As you can see they really enjoyed themselves.

The kid's are growing up

Today Savannah played in her first Softball Tournament "The Monster Bash" They lost their first game, but won the second one. Each team had to be in costume today, decorate the dugout and then perform a dance. There was a pumpkin carving contest as well. Tomorrow they have two more games and if they win both of those there is another game late in the day. Their team is called the "Firecrackers: and the coaches were dressed in costumes that said "Diamond Matches"
Our coaches were great sports and danced with the girls. The song they danced to was "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. I videotaped the whole dance, but it's too long to post on my blog. Maybe on facebook....

Also today I found this picture of Addy on her first Halloween

Now 8 years later... this is what her costume will look like this year.
