What's in the Bag?

The girls were busy decorating bags last night for the Sack Lunch Ministry at our Church. We have volunteered as a family to shop for and assemble sack lunches for the homeless in Kansas city. This was our first time doing it. We are committing to doing this once a month. The girls coloring the bags.
All the stuff for the bags.

The girls didn't decorate every bag, but the ones they did decorate turned out very cute.

Keeping Busy

The kids are keeping busy in the backyard. They are loving the new swing set. The Sandbox is still a hit too, even Joseph played in it today.

See Joseph pushing the dump truck. He did this back and forth about 10 times.

It's Here

Watching the World Go by

I took this photo this morning after Addy was picked up. Addy got a ride to school this morning because Savannah is home sick again. The boys and Midnight always miss their sisters when they are gone during the day.

Hey look at me

Do you like my new haircut. It's hard to believe I am 10months old and today I am going to have my first swim lesson. Thomas will have his first lesson with out Mommy today. I think I will probably like swimming. Mom is not to excited about wearing her swimsuit to take me swimming but I can't wait to wear mine. Maybe Mom will get a picture later.

My DinoStar

Thursday night was the Second Grade Musical, and it was a great performance by all the kids. The music teacher is amazing. I think that every single kid up on stage was excited about this show. They all sang great, and the dancers and speakers did great too. Addy had a speaking part in the musical. We have had to have her up at school at 750 am every day for the past 3 weeks, to practice. I was so proud of Addy, she spoke loudly and clearly in the microphone. She didn't look nervous at all. This is Addy after the show. We had not seen the shirt until the show. It is so adorable.
Addy has the orange Dino hat on.

Here is a shot of the whole second grade.

Addy is in the back row giggling at something. She is right under the tail of the brown dinosaur.
Allen also video taped the show too. So don't worry, for those of you who missed it. I am sure Addy would love for you to watch it next time we see you.

Proud Parent Moment

Written on Thomas' Kids' Day Out page today:

Thomas is so polite. We made a huge deal about him asking for more water because he said, "please" what a great example for the class.

What a good little boy.

Simple Moment's

We all had finished eating dinner, and I was reading a book to Joseph on the couch. Next thing I knew Thomas had run over to join us, then Savannah and then Addy. This is a book that I have had since Addy was little. The book is titled "Where is baby's Mommy" by Karen Katz. They all have loved this book. The pages are taped together, and there are stains from spills. The book has been read many, many times. I can remember Addy reading it to Savannah, and Savannah reading it to Thomas. I have always loved reading to the kids. I love these simple moment's in life.

I think we all deserve to give ourselves more of these quiet peaceful moments. It is so hard to keep up on the house cleaning, the laundry, the kids activities, the emails, the phone calls etc. I am going to make an effort to worry less, and try and relax and slow down a bit. I need to set the example for my kids, so it starts today. Currently the boys are both napping, the girls are at school, so I am going to go plop down on the couch and read a book. This afternoon, I am taking the kids outside to play. Hope you all find some time to relax and enjoy a simple quiet moment today.
