The Great Blizzard of 2011

We got almost 14 inches of snow in the "Great Blizzard of 2011" The kids have had a blast playing in the snow, building forts, and slides. The dogs have also enjoyed the snow quite a bit.

Father Daughter Dance

The Girls had their annual Father Daughter Dance last Friday. They went with their good friend Jocelyn to get their nails painted before the big event.

We have been able to get a lot of use out of these dresses this year. They wore them for various Christmas events and they were perfect for this event as well.

All the Dads from Addy's troop took their daughters out to dinner at Zio's.Savannah went along too, as did some other siblings from other troops. My Dad met them at the dance.

This year I insisted on a picture at the dance, because they skipped it last year, so I don't have one from last year. I will post it as soon as we get it.

Addy also won a $50 gift card to the movies that night, so we can't wait to take the family and see a movie.

The pink is gone...

So, my daughter is getting older. For her 10th Birthday she didn't ask for anything but to have a new room. She has had pink room since we moved into this house almost 7 years ago. She picked all her new decor, and colors by herself. We still hope to get a Swim Mural to hang up on the wall, similar to the one seen in Pottery Barn. We also need to hang her ribbons from her Swim Meets up.
There are still a few touches in the room that remind me that she is still my little girl... the stuffed animals on the shelves, the cute puppy poster on the wall. Then there are the things that remind me she is growing up. The Monster high dolls... not to play with, only for display... and the calender from the movie Twilight. So, I guess the word "tween" does mean something after all. She is in that in between stage of life, where she still wants to be a little girl, but she also wants to be a big girl. Only 6 more years till she is driving... where has the time gone?
